First Steps with Tekla Structures

The course comprises six lessons, guiding new users through essential basic-level tasks of using the Tekla Structures software. In order to pass this course, learners must successfully complete the test at the end of the course.

This learner has demonstrated their understanding of:

• Creating a Tekla Structures project, configuring basic settings, and managing file operations (open, save, export).

• Building and navigating in a simple 3D structural model by adding footings, columns, and beams, using selection switches and filters, copying objects and modifying their properties.

• Adding connections.

• Creating a general arrangement drawing, modifying it, and previewing and printing it.

• Creating a basic report.

• Exporting an IFC file.

The tutorials in this course use the Default environment and Tekla Structures 2025 software version. It is estimated that this learner spent approximately two hours completing all tutorials in the course.
